Link to an external website from within your Word document

Link to a web address
Now select ” File or Website ” on the left. You can then enter the URL of the website you want to link to below next to “Address, “as shown in the picture below. Then click on ” OK,” and the link will be set in your document.
Link to the e-mail address
When you include contact information in your document, you can also link to an e-mail address. This then opens a new window in the mail program in which the recipient and, if applicable, the subject are already specified.
1st step:
Select the link text or picture in your Word document. Then right-click on it and click on ” Hyperlink.”
2nd step:
Under link to, click E-mail Address. Then enter the desired e-mail address under “E-mail address. ”
You can also specify a ” subject ” here for the mail that is sent from the document. Then click OK. The link is then in your document.
Create a new document with a link
You can also include a link that will create a new, blank Word document when you create one. This can be useful when you are creating a series of documents that are all related.
1st step:
Select the text to be linked in your Word document and then right-click on it and click on “Hyperlink. “
2nd step:
Now select ” Create new document ” on the left. You can then specify a suitable name for your new document and change the file path if necessary.
You can also set it under “Time of editing ” whether you want to edit the new document later or immediately after the link has been created. Then click on ” OK ” to set the link in your document.
Note: If you link other documents, make sure that the path is adjusted when you transfer them. In addition, the link only works if the linked document is on the same device as the document with the link.
Insert link as a cross-reference

How to add a link on WordPress

If you would like to make further settings, click on the second “ Link options ” icon.
A pop-up window opens in which you can conveniently edit the link.
Here you decide, for example, by ticking whether the linked address should be opened in a new tab of the browser. This makes sense for external links but generally not for internal links. Internal links are a good keyword.
You may easily configure them by clicking on the relevant material below. In a pinch, a search helps to find the right content.
With the second link button, you could also remove the link.
How to add links to images
Follow these instructions if you want someone to be moved to another page when they click on an image:
Using the Image Block, you may add an image to a post or page.
Select the link symbol by clicking on the image (it looks like a link from a chain.)

After adding the URL, you may configure the link to open in a new tab by clicking on the link settings arrow and selecting “Open in New Tab.”

How to create hyperlinks using Gmail
Login to your Gmail account.
Once logged in, click compose to open a new e-mail and type in your message. Then select the text for which you wish to make a link.
Navigate to the taskbar at the bottom of the composition window and click the hyperlink icon, which resembles a few chain links (circled in blue).
Check that the text you’ve highlighted is now displaying blue and underlined. When you hover on the link, the URL should be displayed, with an option to Change or Remove the link.
Image Hyperlink in Gmail
Sign in to your Gmail account.
Click and compose a new e-mail.
Click on the Insert photo icon at the bottom of the e-mail (or drag and drop an image from your device) to your e-mail composer.
Click and highlight the image.
Navigate to the taskbar at the bottom of the composition window and click the hyperlink icon, which resembles a few chain links (circled in blue).
Click OK after you’ve entered the URL you want to link to.
Return to the image in your e-mail and double-check that the correct URL is displayed when you click on the image. When you click on the link, a pop-up window showing the URL should appear, along with an option to alter the link setting( either Change it or Remove the link).
